Corporate Fascists To Meter Internet Access

From the article: "Time Warner (NYSE: TWX) Cable plans to start testing on Thursday metered Internet access, charging consumers $1 for each gigabyte of content over their allotment.

At the recent Greener Gadgets Design Competition, the engineer demonstrated a subcutaneously implanted touch-screen that operates as a cell phone display, with the potential for 3G video calls that are visible just underneath the skin.

Northern Illinois University
Posted February 15th, 2008 by JohnAs an NIU alumnus I can tell you honestly that in the 4 years I attended school there I never felt unsafe on campus. Not once. When I heard the news yesterday I was shocked, absolutely bewildered. Out of all the schools in the nation where such an incident could occur, why Northern?
