Time Warner Cable is testing a method to meter Internet access for its customers in much the same way that home utility electricity is controlled. From the article: "Time Warner (NYSE: TWX) Cable plans to start testing on Thursday metered Internet access, charging consumers $1 for each gigabyte of content over their allotment.

FTA: Jim Mielke's wireless blood-fueled display is a true merging of technology and body art. At the recent Greener Gadgets Design Competition, the engineer demonstrated a subcutaneously implanted touch-screen that operates as a cell phone display, with the potential for 3G video calls that are visible just underneath the skin.

It's finally here!

As an NIU alumnus I can tell you honestly that in the 4 years I attended school there I never felt unsafe on campus. Not once. When I heard the news yesterday I was shocked, absolutely bewildered. Out of all the schools in the nation where such an incident could occur, why Northern?

So I went out and voted yesterday. I registered as a Democrat and voted for all 6 Obama delegates. What? Did you think I was going to vote for Hillary? Hitlery Clinton? The Wicked Witch Of The Midwest?

Apparently an underground movement is forming with the sole intent of subverting the Church Of Scientology. Coming from all corners of the Earth, the members of this movement are using this miraculous invention—The Internet—as a vehicle of change in order to fight what they perceive to be a serious menace to all of humankind.

How did I miss this?

Apparently they've been trying to abolish the 1st Amendment through a bill that would target 'extremism' at home.
